OUR MISSION

For the glory of God and the witness of Jesus Christ in this and future generations living in Klamath Falls, OR, Klamath Reformed Church desires to be a Christ-centered, Gospel-driven, Spirit-filled, equipping church where every member is maturing in Christ, ministering according to their gifts, and a missionary to their neighbors.

OUR VISION

1.    The Vision for Preaching – Klamath Reformed Church desires and promotes Christ-centered expositional preaching that seeks to exalt our Triune God, that seeks to equip the saints for life and ministry, and that seeks to evangelize the lost.

2.    The Vision for Prayer – Klamath Reformed Church promotes times of prayer for the congregation to gather outside of the regular worship service to adore our God, confess our sins, give thanks for answered prayers, and present our supplications to our God.

3.    The Vision for Worship – Klamath Reformed Church promotes Trinitarian worship that revels in the joy of the gospel and reverences our Holy God with praise using appropriate lyrics, tunes, and instruments from every generation of God’s people; with prayers full of Scripture’s language; with preaching exalting our Triune God, equipping God’s people for life and ministry, and evangelizing the lost; with frequent use of the sacraments; and with an order of worship driven by the text of the sermon and informed by the history of the Church.

4.    The Vision for Shepherding – Klamath Reformed Church desires elders who will help restore, repair, and refresh a sin-damaged and sin-weary people with the mercy of Jesus Christ through a thorough, loving, and intimate knowledge of Jesus’ flock acquired by inviting them into their homes with intentional hospitality both through informal gatherings of individual family units and through intentional gatherings of elder-led fellowship groups and through repelling the enemies of Jesus from the flock of God and through praying diligently for the flock of God.

5.    The Vision for Discipleship – Klamath Reformed Church seeks to make disciples, teaching them all that Jesus commanded in the essentials of the Christian faith, church membership, and gospel-evangelism through catechetical instruction, Bible studies, and elder led-fellowship groups; and through developing leaders in the church of God both locally and globally by training leaders in families and in the church in the biblical patterns of leadership required and modeled by Jesus Christ.

6.    The Vision for Evangelism – Klamath Reformed seeks to reach our community, our city, and our world with the good news of Jesus by promoting evangelist efforts, short-term missions, and prayerful training of permanent laborers in our church, in our presbytery and home mission fields, and on the foreign mission field.

7.    The Vision for Fellowship – Klamath Reformed Church promotes the unity of the body through intentional hospitality by our congregation as well as frequent opportunities for gathering as the people of Christ beyond the weekly public worship of God that seeks to increase our faith toward God, our love for the saints, and a daily living out of the fellowship that God’s people enjoy around the Lord’s Table.

8.    The Vision for Mercy Ministry – Klamath Reformed Church desires deacons who actively engage in relieving the needs of Jesus’ body, as well as the needs of the hurting world to whom Jesus has sent us, through a mercy ministry that seeks to meet people’s spiritual needs, physical needs, relational needs, and emotional needs.

The Vision for Administration – Klamath Reformed Church developing and promoting an orderly administration and operation in the weekly affairs of the church that assists the officers of the church in fulfilling their duties and that communicates punctually and clearly to the congregation concerning matters of the church’s life, ministry, and prayer.
