Prayer Requests

We are a praying people.

Please feel free to let us know how to pray for you, but know that are prayers will always be that  God would work out his perfect will in your life, and that may not be the end you are looking for.

We know that God is sovereign over all things and our prayers are effectual, but they are required of us and are beneficial for all.

So, please feel free to send us your prayer requests, but be prepared for God to work in your life in mysterious ways.

Personal Prayers for you to use from our church Corporate Prayers

    Prayer of confession

I, a poor sinner, acknowledge you, my God and Creator, that I have terribly and in many ways sinned against you, not only outwardly, but much more with inward blindness, unbelief, doubts, despondency, impatience, pride, covetousness, envy, hatred, malice, and other sinful affections, as you, my Lord and God , know well, and I cannot deeply enough deplore. But I repent of these things, and am sorry for them, and heartily ask you for mercy, for the sake of you beloved Son Jesus Christ. Amen

For those who truly pray to confess their sins there is an assurance of pardon:

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us – for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree” – so that Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might recieve the promised Spirit through faith.

    Galatians 3: 13-14

    Prayer of confession

Do not forsake me O Lord! O my God be not far from me. Right now, it seems you are so far away from me. Clouds have shut up the heavens and you who are often so radiant now seem so removed. Do not forsake me, O Lord! O my God be not far from me! There is no soundness in my flesh. there is no health in my bones, my iniquities have gone over my head. Sin has sickened my life. To you I turn for healing, for you are a healing God. Almighty God, you are rich in mercy to all those who call upon you. Hear me as I come to you humbly confessing my sins and imploring your mercy and forgiveness. I have broken your holy laws by my deeds and by my words, and by the sinful affections of my heart. I confess before you my disobedience and ingratitude, my pride and will-fullness, and all my failures and shortcomings toward you and toward my fellow men. Have mercy upon me, most merciful Father. And of your great goodness grant that I may hereafter serve and please you in newness of life, through the merit and medication of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

For those who truly pray to confess their sins there is an assurance of pardon:

And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the un-circumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.

    Colossians 2: 13-14

    Prayer of confession

Most holy and merciful Father, we acknowledge and confess in Your presence our sinful nature prone to evil and slothful in good, and all our shortcomings and offenses against You. You alone know how often we have sinned, in wandering from Your ways, in wasting Your gifts, in forgetting Your love. But O Lord, have pity on us. We are ashamed and sorry for all wherein we have displeased You. Teach us to hate our errors, cleanse us from our secret faults, and forgive our sins, for the sake of your dear Son our Savior. And O most holy and loving Father, send Your purifying grace into our hearts, we implore You, that we may hereafter live in Your light and walk in Your ways, according to the commandments of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

For those who truly pray to confess their sins there is an assurance of pardon:

There is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

    Romans 8:1-2

    Prayer of confession

Lord Jesus, I have sinned times without number, and been guilty of pride and unbelief, and of neglect to seek you in my daily life. My sins and shortcomings present me with a list of accusations, but I thank you that they will not stand against me, far all have been laid on Christ. Deliver me from every evil habit, every interest of former sins, everything that dims the brightness of your grace in me, everything that prevents me taking delight in you. Amen

For those who truly pray to confess their sins there is an assurance of pardon:

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

    I John 1:9

    Prayer of confession

Our Sovereign God, You make all things work together to accomplish Your purposes in our world and in our lives. You order, sustain, and uphold every part of your creation. All that You have decreed and determined will come to pass. Nothing is by chance or arbitrary whim. We confess to You that we often fail to live by these truths.

We observe the clash of culture and politics and we despair. We see the erosion of the foundations of morality and we tremble. We are aware of economic forces that threaten us and we fear. We see corruption in high places and we are frustrated. We observe the destructive power of natural forces and we are terrified. We are aware of the decline of our strength and health as we age and we become anxious. We are unduly frightened by disease and by death. We are alarmed by the power and danger of the wicked as they plot crimes.

Help us to acknowledge and declare that You are Sovereign, that all things are used by You to fulfill Your purposes and decrees. Help us to see Your hand everywhere and to live accordingly. Calm our hearts. Remove our anxious fears. Wash us clean by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, which You ordained to be spilled for us.

In His precious name we pray, Amen.             7.26.20

For those who truly pray to confess their sins there is an assurance of pardon:

I will bear the indignation of the Lord because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my cause and executes judgement for me. He will bring me out to the light; I shall look upon his vindication.

    Micah 7:9

    Prayer of confession

Almighty God. Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Maker of all things, Judge of a people; we acknowledge our many sins and our persistent wickedness in thought, word and deed. We have not been holy as you are holy. Our sin has bred much pain, anger and strife with our brothers, sisters, and neighbors so that You would be just in condemning us. Have mercy upon us, have mercy upon us, most merciful Father for the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, forgive us all our sins, grant that we may serve You and please You in newness of life. Amen

For those who truly pray to confess their sins there is an assurance of pardon:

If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared.

    Psalm 130:3-4
